Amsterdam Light Festival

Light festivals are flourishing and Amsterdam is the latest city to put on a spectacle, both for those who live there and visitors. In its second year, the Amsterdam Light Festival is the result of a joint venture between the cultural institutions, the municipality, knowledge institutes and businesses. For 50 days in December and January, Amsterdam was transformed by 30 light installations and projections by international artists. Here is a selection of highlights from my visit.
