Oleksandra Bondarchuk

Alexa studied architecture at the Lviv National Polytechnic University in Ukraine, also completing a 3-month architecture internship while studying in 2021. After graduating in 2022, she travelled to Germany to start her career by taking a role in Real Estate.

However, she was uninspired in this work and craved a more creative career path. Having always been mesmerized by England, her journey took her to London. Attending the Surface Design Show was a key event which introduced Alexa to the world of lighting. She was inspired by the amazing talk by Arianna Ghezzi and Christian Haimes of Lighting Design International, which gave her a new perspective of the industry.

This moment marked the start of Alexa’s career at Lighting Design International. Her passion for interior design allows her to see the whole picture of a design and space and feel it on a different level. In her spare time, Alexa pursues other creative interests, including photography, cinematography, hiking and 3D art.
