Olivia Prentis

OFFICE MANAGER

With a degree in History of Modern Art and a Masters in Photography, Olivia’s eye has always been drawn to the more visual side of life. She began her career in the world of advertising and used her photography skills to head up the art buying and photography arm of a startup creative agency called Muirhoward, a derivative from JWT London. Whilst there Olivia worked on all aspects of the business including new business development, campaign development and communications strategy. It was a role she loved and developed and in return gained further insight in to both marketing strategies and art buying.

Having always had a passion for the arts her next move to Huxley-Parlour gallery was a welcome one. Joining at the very beginning, she saw the gallery grow from a team of two to a successful flourishing business with a focus on photography, but also over the 10 years she was there, held a variety of exhibits including contemporary jewellery, prints and sculptures.  She attained the position of Associate Director and was responsible for curating a wide roster of exhibits at the gallery, held both on and offline.

After the gallery changed direction, Olivia went on to set up her own interior styling and home staging business, which brought her feet firmly into the world of interiors. Whilst navigating the trials and tribulations of Covid the business continued, but the direction changed. It was then that she decided to gain further skills and upon doing so, came across Lighting Design International.

Beginning as the office manager and now also the acting marketing manager Olivia brings her visual knowledge and designers’ eye to the company, alongside ensuring the fridge is well stocked for Friday night drinks!
